Bring the old part with you

A part pulled off the car settles most questions at the counter. Put it in a bag, grease and all, and set it next to the new one.

If the old part is still on the car, have these ready when you call:

  • Year, make and model
  • Engine size
  • The VIN, from the dash or the door jamb
  • Which side, front or rear, if it matters

For the shop down the road
